The Vera Wang Fall 2013 bridal collection was all about the drama. The New York based designer presented an all-white collection (after two white-free seasons!) filled with delicate and romantic lace work, beautiful embroideries, full frothy skirts and high-volume cascading tiers finished off with elaborate neck pieces. Her signature wave flange skirt even got an update with layers of dreamy multi-textured lace. As only Vera Wang could, the new collection entitled 'All About Lace' is soft, feminine, striking and totally swoon-worthy...
These gowns are the stuff little girls dreams are made of...
Wang, explained the collection is "an exploration of laces all handwrought, pieced, appliquèd and tossed onto an assortment of light, airy confections with a casual nonchalance."
Wang also declared that the collection reflects a "study in femininity and romance that celebrates the wedding gown in a new take on classicism and ornamentation".
There was a hint of lingerie inspiration amongst the collection with gowns that featured sexy structured bralette and bodice details.
Pretty lace illusion necklines carried through from last seasons collections giving a very lady-like finish to the gowns.
Necklines demanded attention with elaborate textured silk and tulle neck pieces adding to the drama of the collection.
Feminine bow details accessorising the bodice added to the prettiness of the collection.
Soft silk and hand rolled organza petal corsages drew attention at the hip and waist. Frothy tiers of alternating mixed lace and silk organza combined to create an updated version of the Vera Wang signature wave flange skirt.
