Prepare for a wedding shoot that was created with an urban, yet sophisticated style in mind. Perfect for couples seeking inspiration, as dried flowers and neutral pastel shades are married together for the softest of aesthetics. Set in Dublin's impressive Smock Alley Theatre, the decor makes for the perfect backdrop for the beath-taking bridal style - and we love the fact that all of these accessories can be worn again and again! Photography duo Emmylie and Richie from Wonder & Magic, along with some very talented Irish suppliers created this contemporary Bohemian shoot, and we're thrilled to share it with you below.
Delicate details get us every time! Textured gold accessories, iridescent pearls and dried flower hair pieces set the tone for this inspirational wedding shoot where contemporary style meets Bohemian sensibility.
The first bouquet creates fullness using dried hydrangeas, which are mixed with grasses, dried white poppy seeds pods and baby's breath in soft tones and and subtle texture. The second bouquet, sees a mix of all-white fresh and dried flowers, including stunning white orchids, preserved roses and trailing amaranthus. As a finishing touch of luxury, each bouquet is finished with fine, naturally dyed silk ribbon.
The bridal style blends a contemporary tailored silhouette with organza and tulle embellishments. All the elegant gowns are from The White Room in Mullingar and the shimmering cape with puffed statement sleeves by Jesus Peiro.
With a look this bold, hair and makeup that complements rather than competes is essential, and the choice of loose boho waves and a gentle smokey eye look which is perfectly in keeping with the natural vibe of the shoot.
The breathtaking floral display was created to make it appear as if an untamed abundance of natural growth was creeping up the exposed brick wall of the venue. Fluffy pampas grass and mosses give the design an earthy yet ethereal feel.
A floral hoop is a striking alternative to a bouquet, and the perfect way to differentiate your bridesmaids' florals. The golden frame and carefully chosen flowers were used, together with a white and neutral colour palette, to create a feeling of wildness and natural elegance.
On to the dreamy tablescapes! A shell-shaped vase filled with dried flowers with a mixtures of textures creating fullness, and styled with several standing pillar candles and a statement candleholder. "For the second setting, we had a dining set up and kept some of the candles and created precious mini bundles tied with silk ribbon to complement the styling along with a white floral arrangement as the focal point on the table," says the team from Wonder & Magic.
Another elegant dress for the second bridal look by The White Room in Mullingar. Showcasing an embroidered tulle mini cape, embellished with pearls over an open back feature with spaghetti straps, and a front slit. Earrings featuring Baroque pearls make for a beautiful combination with the dress.
Makeup artist, Noeleen Cunningham created lips and cheeks that glowed with a peachy-perfect tint. For this sophisticated look the beachy waves wer pinned back into an elegant half-up, half-down do, and adorned with an oversized bow for extra sophisitcation. A lesson that less is most definitely more.
