A tale of love began when a blind date between Audrey and Jim blossomed into a wedding date! They met through a mutual friend, who knew the two would 'instantly click' and ever since the relationship has grown in strength, leading us here on their very special day. The engagement was very sweet and was assisted by a furry little member of the family. Audrey explains: "Jim tied the engagement ring around our little cat Meowsles collar. When I woke up one morning Meowsles popped down to see me with the ring, it was the best surprise ever!"

Jim was effortlessly dressed in a Louis Copeland & Sons tweed suit, open crisp white collar shirt and black patent shoes.  The beautiful bride was breathtaking in a silk satin slip dress and out-of-this-world bridal coat. The frill-sleeve ensemble complete with mesmerizing cathedral train added the right amount of glamour to the timeless and simple dress. A match made in heaven! But wait, here comes the bride for that first look photo...

"To be present and not get worked up about the little technicalities, we took first look photos before the ceremony which gave us so much more time to relax and enjoy the day with our friends and family," says Audrey. A first look is becoming super popular, and just like Audrey mentioned, the special moment not only allows you to spend a special moment with your partner but allows more time to spend with guests in the evening.

The charming Kilshane House won over their hearts and it's clear to see why! The wedding venue offers a magical setting with its unrivalled gardens, laid-back glamourous vibe and exquisite Orangery and glasshouse that makes for the most picture-perfect wedding day. "Everything about the venue made it the one! We fell in love with the botanical glasshouse where we held our ceremony. It was just magic with all the greenery, the birds singing and the light shining in the glasshouse. The orangery was beautiful for the dinner and created the warmest and sparkly atmosphere for the evening ahead," they said.

The September sun smiled down on each guest as they awaited the arrival of the beautiful bride and her bridal party. The vibe of the day was described as laid back, a little bohemian and full of love and laughter. Keep reading to find out what tradition the newlyweds used to 'seal the ceremony!' Let's just say, there were a few hops, skips and jumps!

Audrey recalls the most special moments of her magical Kilshane House wedding day: "Definitely taking the photos beforehand was one of the best things we did! Just seeing one another in person before all the excitement began and having those moments together was so special. Our ceremony was magic, our ceremony was so intimate and personal and it even finished with the two of us jumping over a broom to seal the ceremony. Even the guests joined in on the fun and broom hopping!"

The broom hopping tradition symbolises a new beginning whilst sweeping away the past. It also signifies two families becoming one. The couple simply closes their eyes, takes each other's hands and jumps into their new life together leaving any old certainties behind.

The bridesmaid's black dresses were pure chicness and sophistication. Paired with a bunch of bright and blooming florals, matching necklaces and of course our favourite of all - beaming smiles! Audrey and Jim describe their Kilshane House wedding day as full of love and joy. "It was one of the first days after the last lockdown that everyone could get dressed up, polish off their dancing shoes and let their hair down with us to celebrate this special day. A time where everyone could come together to celebrate and give each other a long overdue hug!" they say.

Serenading the dreamy wedding day, in the beautiful surrounds, were Trio Royale, an exciting trio playing a cool mix of swing, jazz, Latin, and lounge music for the couple and their guests.

When it comes to sharing some wise advice, they say; "Enjoy the day and stay present as you can only control the controllables on the day. Take deep breaths, find time to spend time with your other half and have as much fun with your loved ones as you can. Also, if you can meet or chat with your photographer before the wedding do so they can get a feel for you both as a couple and your vibe. We chatted with our photographer Shane a few months beforehand and it made such a difference on the day!"

After their wedding, the lovely couple enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon in Ibiza for two weeks. One week in the town and another week up the coast in the fabulous Hacienda Na Xamena.
