It's funny how trends develop sometimes, you see something a couple of times, then all of a sudden it's everywhere. So it is with this summer's must-have wedding accessory - Striped Straws. Guaranteed if you're reading the US based wedding blogs you will have seen them 10 times in the last week. And the reason is simple - they're fun, colourful and cheap - instantly adding a little bit of panache to drinks and desserts. So we scoured some of our favourite food, interior and wedding blogs to bring you a round up of pretty ideas for how you could use striped straws on your one fab day.
From simply using the striped straws to sip a cocktail or glass of bubbly to creating mini-ice pops or creating a cake-topper with a difference, the options for striped paper straws are endless. And as they are dirt-cheap - pipii has boxes of 25 for £2.95, there's no guilt involved in this little bit of whimsical decor...
