It's expected that Ireland will return to Level 3 as defined in the government’s COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021 Roadmap at some point in 2021, but what will that mean for weddings? We've prepared a quick overview of what is permitted for Level 3 weddings in Ireland, which we will continue to update as soon as new information becomes available.
Essential Information about Wedding Restrictions in Ireland under Level 3
- Guests: Weddings can have a maximum of 25 guests, as stated here.
- Services:
- As photographers were permitted at Level 5, as stated here, it's fair to assume they will be permitted at Level 3.
- We are awaiting information on which other services will be permitted.
- Travel: Guests can travel outside their counties to attend a wedding, as stated here.
- Overnight Accomodation: Hotel and other tourist accomodation can be provided for couples and their 6 guests, as stated here.
- Travel from overseas to Ireland, or overseas from Ireland: Currently, the guidelines for international travel, the Irish government advises against all non-essential international travel.
- Travel between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland: Currently, both the Republic of Ireland's guidelines for travel and Northern Ireland's guidelines for travel advise against all non-essential travel.
- How long the current restrictions will last: Unfortunately, there's no information on how long these restrictions will be in place.
