Sunday Selection: Four Unique Weddings To Inspire

Four very different weddings, all bursting with love

In today's Sunday Selection, we have a mix of weddings big and small, near and far, as these couples prove there is absolutely no one way to say 'I do'! Each getting married before the pandemic, these couples all made sure to infuse their weddings with their personalities. From couples returning home to mark the occasion with their wide circle of family and friends, to those heading to their local City Hall to say their 'I dos' with a selected few, there is tonnes of variety in this week's selection of real weddings.

Classic Romance at Boyne Hill House: Anya & Ronan

Anya and Ronan live in Austria but with Ronan's Irish roots, knew they wanted to say their 'I dos' in Ireland. Organising their wedding from Vienna, the pair enlisted the help of family and friends, like Ronan's brother-in-law who made their wedding rings and Anya's wedding jewellery. Ronan's sister sang at the ceremony, and he even accompanied her on violin! The backdrop for their family affair was the gorgeous Boyne Hill House in County Meath where the pair made use of the stunning Secret Garden for their outdoor ceremony. The newlyweds and their guests then got to enjoy the house for their reception, all of which was captured by Danielle O'Hora. You can see the full set of beautiful images from their day over on Danielle's website here.

From San Francisco With Love: Lexy & Sean

San Fran natives Lexy and Sean decided to have their big city wedding in the gorgeous City Hall. The pair spent the day together with their family members coming from across the state and from Australia. They explored the city with Briars Atlas on hand to capture the magic. You can see more from Briars Atlas' through their website here.

Winter Wonderland at Mount Falcon Estate: Avril & Stewart

Irish woman Avril met Scot Stewart when she moved to Scotland for work and study. When deciding on where to get married, it was a no-brainer for Avril that she would celebrate in Ireland. They settled on Mount Falcon Estate near Avril's hometown where they and their guests could relax for the weekend. Throughout the house, fires were burning, candles were lit, floral arrangements adorned every table, and guests could enjoy the traditional music being played. And the whole day was captured by Art Wedding Photography which you can see more of here.

Love and Laughter in Belfast City Hall: Franci & Dan

Franci and Dan were one of the last couples to get married before lockdown restrictions were introduced way back in March. With a pre-planned small ceremony, the couple surrounded themselves with close family and friends and had their ceremony in Belfast City Hall. Afterwards, the pair headed to the nearby James St South restaurant where they had a private room to celebrate with their guests. Franci was six months pregnant at the time so that meant plans were kept pretty simple but in the end, the couple were delighted with their small wedding day. Now, with their little boy Louis in the world, the couple are planning a bigger party in France! Their Belfast celebration was captured by Kyrstin Healy Photography.
