Our Favourite Wedding Films of the Year 2019

The only festive viewing you need this year!

We're pretty passionate about wedding videography around here. For us, it's *always* worth the investment. Wedding films capture how a wedding looks, and more crucially, feels, in a way that photographs can't, which is why we recommend making room in your budget if you can, for a wedding videographer. This year, we featured a stellar selection of wedding films, in an array of videography styles. So as we wrap up our revisit of our highlights from 2019, these are the wedding videos that left their mark this year. (Put the kettle on for this one!)

Naoise, Managing Director

Naoise's pick is American bride Kimberly and Irish groom Daniel's wedding at Killruddery House. Their film was by Limelight Wedding Films, see the original feature here.

"We shared both the film and the photos of this wedding, and it was such a gorgeous one, featuring a while host of talented suppliers. The style was glam, the florals, decor and details were stunning, and I'm not ashamed to say, I may have a shed a tear or two over the bridesmaid speech!"

Susan, Creative Director

Susan loved Kate & Glenn's tear-jerking wedding at Mount Druid. Their film was captured by Old Pine Films, see the original feature here.

"Kate and Glenn looked so loved-up on their wedding day - my favourite part of the film had to be their emotional ceremony, if you need a bit of a cry, this is definitely one to watch!"

Áine, Business Development Manager

Áine's favourite wedding film this year was Matthew and Laura's beautiful wedding at The Millhouse. Their day was captured by White & Gold and edited by the groom himself, Matthew, aka Out Of Mountain. See the original feature here.

"This film is so romantic and it's always great to see one of our partners getting married! The Millhouse is a beautiful venue, so this was always going to be a winner for me. If you're stuck on your vows I'd definitely give this one a watch, the couple's words during the ceremony were just beautiful."

Orlaith, Account Manager

Orlaith was mad about Josh and Natalie's Tankardstown House wedding film by Limelight Wedding Films (we also shared the photos of their day by Weddings by Kara). See the original film feature here.

"I just thought everything about this wedding was so beautiful and polished - it didn't look like it was in Ireland! I watched this video all the way through without even realising the time had passed!"

Celina, Deputy Editor

Another Tankardstown House wedding that our team fell hard for, Celina's pick is John and Zara's beautiful film by Birds of a Feather. See the original feature here.

"A moving groom's speech is a surefire way to win me over, and this real groom nailed it, prompting tears and LOLs from guests in a single monologue! I love everything about John and Zara's wedding (which we shared in full here, if you'd like a look!), so it's cool that the wedding film gave us another perspective on the day, beyond the stunning style. The vows and speeches are always such huge parts of a wedding day for me, so it was lovely to hear a few snippets of John and Zara's."

Karen, Editorial & Administration

Karen was (and still is!) obsessed with Nikea and Ed's wild and wonderful wedding in New South Wales, Australia. Their wedding film by was by Bottle Brush Films, see the original feature here.

"There's just so much I love about this wedding video, I don't know where to begin! Nikea and Ed's amazing style, the drop-dead gorgeous wedding decor, the puppy, the dancing, the bridesmaids epic emotional speech, or maybe it's the fact that I feel like I'm watching a mini Hollywood music video every time I watch it! This video is magical, you just have to watch it to see what I mean!"

Claire, Editor

Claire's standout wedding film of the year was Lucy and James' stylish tropical bash captured by Rabbit and the Fox Films. See the original feature here.

"It started with Lucy's earrings, and then I was pretty much head over heels from there on in. I'm a sucker for tropical-themed weddings and this pair doused their day in colour without forgoing great personal style. Rabbit and the Fox did such a great job on the film, it's one of those cool summer weddings I just wish I'd been a guest at!"
