Saturday Selection: Let Sparks Fly!

Four completely unique real weddings

Today's Saturday Selection features four entirely unique real weddings - and we love each of them for totally different reasons, whether it's the styling, the backdrop, or the finishing touches. But most of all, it's the stories behind the day - like the dad who did the bride's hair or the couple who didn't know where their ceremony would be! - that make these celebrations so special.

A Surprise Location: Taylor & Gloria

Taylor and Gloria wanted their Cliffs of Moher wedding to be an amazing adventure, but they were also eager for it to be easy and stress-free too! And despite a flat tyre on the way to the pub, the American couple managed to pull the perfect balance of jaw-dropping scenery and laid-back vibes. Best of all, neither of the brides knew where their ceremony was going to take place! The couple say walking down together for their intimate cliffside vows was a moment they'll remember forever. Love Like Crazy captured the beautiful wedding (and scouted the location!) - you can see more from the day here.

Style and Craftsmanship: Aoife and Robie

Aoife and Robie's wedding was beyond gorgeous - we can't stop swooning over the bride's beautiful bridal cape and statement headpiece! The couple married at Trudder Lodge with a romantic ceremony was filled with candles and handcrafted flower arrangements. Robie, a carpenter, made stunning bespoke decorations like the ceremony arch, the ring stand and the ceiling installation - he also used a nail gun to seal the bottle of wine during the ceremony! Weddings by Jason captured the day for the couple, you can see more from this sweet wedding here.

Autumn Leaves and Summer Breeze: Louise and Daniel

Louise and Daniel's Brooklodge at Macreddin Village wedding was a celebration of their favourite things - style, superheroes (look out for Daniel's Marvel cufflinks!), music, but most of all, eachother. We've already fallen hard for Louise's long sleeve lace dress by Maggie Sottero. The couple said their vows in the venue's beautiful on-site chapel, before heading to the village snug for a pint, just the two of them before meeting their guests in the courtyard for drinks. Despite the autumn foliage all around, the pair lucked out with summer weather for their big day! Give Us A Goo Photography documented the day, see more of the details here.

London to Limerick: Eve & Michael

We don't need to tell you we're in love with Eve's stunning vintage wedding dress. She found this 1940s satin gem at Hope & Harlequin in Brighton. Our favourite detail - her dad helped her pick it AND he did her hair for her big day. Love it! Now on to the details of their day! Eve and Michael live in London, and came to the groom's hometown of Loughill in Limerick for a church ceremony before heading to the Dunraven Arms in Adare for their reception. These gorgeous shots by Emily Doran Photography were captured in the woods behind Michael's family home. You can see more from their wedding day here.
