The most obvious styling ideas for an Autumn wedding are often the most beautiful - we will forever be huge fans of deep red and burnt orange colour palettes, luxe velvets, and leaf-print stationery! - but it's still wonderful to see a fresh, new take on seasonal décor! Well that's exactly what you'll find in this gorgeous inspirational shoot by Hello, Sugar, which features a talented team of wedding suppliers, and was shot on location at the incredible Carriage Rooms at Montalto! Boasting stunning, rustic florals, purple stationery and a seriously sensational wedding dress, it's just the thing to get your creative juices flowing!
We love that Avril from Freckles and Fern choose purple as her hero colour for this bold, modern stationery suite. Vintage-inspired lilacs are definitley making a comeback!
How gorgeous does Dee look in her caped wedding dress from Ivy and White in Lisburn!? It's called the Mimi, and it's the creation of Australian label Made with Love, who are also stocked in Vintage Pearl Bridal in Galway.
This oversized bridal bouquet has such a luxurious and romantic feel to it, don't you think? Paula from Hello Sugar tells us, "it was created by Emma from Honeybee Blooms and, as usual with her designs, she completely blew us away with how much thought was put into the piece. To create the volume and texture, she used leaves and branches, it was very seasonal and rustic."
Between the greenhouse, the lakefront and the main venue, The Carriage Rooms at Montalto really was the perfect location for this shoot - it looks so magical in these photographs!
I don't know about you, but I would happily devour everything on this wedding cake table! Carly from Away with the Mixer created two semi-naked cakes, one with chocolate and red fruit, the other with spiced apple and caramel, decorated with seasonal fruits.
Dee's makeup by Maid by Sinead is so striking, and yet really pretty and wearable. "Her vision included dark lips, soft eye makeup, and a dewy, sunkissed and seamless finish on the skin," Paula says. "We specifically wanted Dee's hair to feel bridal, Nicola, who was our hairstylist, did a fabulous job creating two styles, all the hair up and a half up, half down look. Dee was also wearing jewellery and two amazing headpieces by Deborah K Design."
Didn't we tell you that the Carriage Rooms is down-right enchanting!? Paula tells us that she wanted the shoot to be all about, "lush colours, textures, and celebrating of one of the best time of year to get married! Matt & Steph created an alternative and cool space at The Carriage Rooms. Their macramé backdrop, old-fashioned garden games and styling were a perfect addition to the 'glam barn' vibe of the venue."
We love how the team used dark woods, rustic linens and figs throughout the shoot to tie the whole look together. It's these little details that really take wedding décor to the next level!
It's good to know that we're not the only ones obsessed with carnival games at weddings! Before we leave you, we've got to say a huge thank you to Hello Sugar and the whole team behind this beautiful shoot for sharing it with us - make sure to have a look through the gallery to see the full set of photographs, and get even more ideas!
