Today's wedding inspiration shoot is all about a romantic elopement. (Looks like elopements are something of a theme this week on OFD!) Fine art photographer, Koral Bleu (a self-confessed hopeless romantic) flew to Paris to create this beautiful shoot at the Renoir Gardens, with planners LP Event and a whole host of talented suppliers. The team conjured up a Shakespearean star-crossed lovers back story to give their shoot added drama, and as you'll see from the pictures, it's laden down with ideas for giving an intimate wedding a fairytale feel.
Koral Bleu tells us the shoot was inspired by a bride who chose love over a life of privilege, “They would be married in secret in Le Jardin de Renoir, a place as bright and enchanting as their love for one another. It reminded us that marriage is not always about how big or small your ceremony but it's truly about the foundation of love that two people create.”
How beautiful is this calligraphy stationery - this would really set the tone for a romantic wedding!
The team at Koral Bleu wanted to create a romantic feel with their elopement shoot, "Simple in aesthetic and color palette; using various tones of green, grey, blush pink, taupe and cream with added hints of purple. "
The purple florals look gorgeous with the grey tones in the wedding dress.
The artistic setting of the Museum of Montmarte lends such an atmosphere to the shoot.
Tall tapered candles add instant elegance to a wedding table.
The team used foliage to enhance the texture of the tablescape, "We used broad leaves and lighter green tones scattered throughout the table to give way to a romantic wedding style. We added harvest chairs, and old vintage antic plates to pay homage to the old world charm of a Shakespearian love story. The story line truly inspired the choice of fabric details and colour scheme."
Top tip: light your candles for a little while before your wedding so they don't look so new and neat when your guests sit down.
The back on this dress is unreal!
The inky blue place cards have such a nice contrast against the lighter tones on the rest of the table.
The gorgeous wedding dress was chosen to give an airy softness to the bride's look, "The Jada gown is a flattering and dramatic creation of tulle, silk, and hand embroidered flowers. Floral vine appliqué that features metallic threading, create a beautiful illusion bodice. The skirt flows softly into layers of crème silk tulle while dove silk lines and cascades into a beautiful train. The Jada is a vision of delicate details, breath-taking beauty and inspiration combined to reflect the beauty of a bride on her wedding day."
So many pretty touches - I just love those tables and the stationery is stunning! Thanks so much to Koral Bleu and the rest of the team behind the shoot for sharing it with us!
