Today's real wedding shows us that our one true love can be right under our noses, and all it takes is a gentle push. Sofia and Pedro both shared mutual friends and once they had been introduced it was love at first sight. They celebrated their love with an intimate ceremony (just the two of them!) hidden in the woods and a sweet soiree complete with Champagne on the white sands of Praia da Adraga in Portugal, the very place where Pedro proposed. This truly gorgeous intimate Portugal wedding captured by Adriana Morias will have you dreaming of an elopement with just the two of you...
After been introduced by a mutual friend, it wasn't long for things to start progressing quickly. They say,'When you know, you know!' For this couple it couldn't be more true. Sofia explains..."We always lived near to each other during years, but we never met, until one day, by chance, we were introduced by a mutual friend. From there on we began to speak every single day and two months later we began living together. It was love at first sight and we are always “hunting” for our next adventure."
When it came to the proposal, they went on vacation to Lisbon. Sofia's love of beaches found them on “Praia da Adraga” which would later be of huge significance. Sofia fondly remembers... "When we got there, despite being 30 degrees in Lisbon the weather was super cold, but it was that cool mist that attracted us to go out to the beach and to flirt a bit. And by the end of the day, lying on the blanket, Peter suggested: - And if we got married? And we decided to go for it! Four months later we did the ceremony in our second favorite place in Lisbon, the “Santuário da Peninha”. After that we went back to the beach where it all started, to celebrate!"
The happy couple explain how the day made them feel..."Our marriage was super intimate and relaxed. The atmosphere around it was full of happiness and complicity. It was everything like we always wanted without us actually knowing what we wanted! Everything was perfect and on top of that, everything felt “super” natural."
The couple captured this moment perfectly..."From the beginning, we wanted everything to be very true to who we are and to our history - spontaneous and romantic. We wanted to make it as simple and elegant as possible. With many flowers, marine elements and a simple organic stationary. The whole wedding beach “vibe” was possible thanks to the right choice of suppliers."
There was so many tings that made this day an unforgettable one for the couple but they can't thank the suppliers enough. Sofia and Pedro explain...What made our day more special was being surrounded by suppliers that put us completely at ease and by people who made everything to turn that day into “our day”. The entire assembly that “made” the day, from the place to the photographs and videographers, the flowers, the stationary, catering, they all contributed to turn the day even more special. But if we have to choose a moment, I would say that the time of the ceremony, exchange of completely improvised votes, was the moment that “touch” us the most. And now, when we look at the photos of our wonderful photographer we realize that it could not have been otherwise! It was perfect."
The newlyweds share in some great advice when planning your big day..."First of all, have fun and be true to yourselves. Do what you always imagined and forget about pleasing everybody. After all it’s your day." After their wedding the pair headed off on honeymoon in Maldives and then onto Singapore, having the best of two cities, sounds amazing!
Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for sharing your stunning celebration of love with us all. A big thank you also goes to Adriana Morias for sharing her work with us. To see more from Adriana Morias visit www.adrianamoraisfotografia.com
