Just a quick post today, as I'm flying out the door, or rather out of the airport to a friend's wedding in bonnie Scotland - Cannot Wait!! But thought it would be nice to get the weekend off to a fun start with some pretty dresses, so today we're showcasing the bridal collection of Cymbeline, the french bridalwear designers.

The success of Cymbeline begins with the story of three sisters who decided to revolutionize the fashion wedding dresses. That was a over thirty years ago, in Nemours 75 km from Paris. Combining tradition and modernity, the sisters have adapted traditional methods of high fashion to modern technology. But even today each collection is still designed in a seventeenth century windmill.

Cymbeline offers a diverse range of styles from the classic, simple and streamlined to the kooky, fun and quirky. The key to all of the dresses is a lighter softer silhouette, using fabrics that drape easily rather than being overly structured or stiff.

So whether you're looking for something short and flirty, or a more classical wedding gown, you're sure to find great ideas among the Cymbeline collection...

A particular influence in the latest collections is a grecian look, offering lots of variation on draped bodices on a column gown - from cowled necklines to draped back details they are all so very elegant.

But a particular fave has to be this gorgeous body-con corsetted gown with the layered tulle skirt - the contrast in textures is striking, and something I haven't seen before.
