Muted shades of pink and champagne are classic for good reason. An effortlessly elegant combination when these colours combine you can just be sure you'll end up with a pretty result. Utilising this colour scheme for their Tullyveery House wedding, Rachel and Chris planned a charming outdoor celebration filled with good friends, just a little bit of sparkle and a bountiful amount of roses, all captured by Jonathan Ryder Photography.
College sweethearts, Rachel and Chris met at The University of Dundee - with a little help from a friend. Rachel remembers..."Chris was in the year above me and we first met at Mono Nightclub on the university campus. A close friend of ours Matthew helped us to exchange numbers and as they say the rest is history."
To propose Chris surprised Rachel with a bottle of champagne and a beautiful engagement ring in the sand dunes at Portstewart Strand. Rachel of course said yes and they began to plan their wedding back home in Co.Down.
After just two venue visits Rachel and Chris decided to have both their ceremony and reception at Tullyveery House. Keeping things relaxed and simple the ceremony was held within the gardens while Rachel chose a muted colour palette of soft pink and champagne for both the decor and her 6 bridesmaids.
Rachel's own dress was from beautiful bridal boutique Petticoat Lane, which she accessorised with an elegant veil and a full classic bouquet.
Rachel describes the vibe of the day..."The most important thing was to keep the whole thing relaxed and simple. I adore clean colours so nothing was too bold. A relaxed atmosphere with good food and drink with our favourite people was our ultimate goal. I had six bridesmaids and Chris had 4 groomsmen and although it was a large wedding party it was great fun. We had family and friends that travelled from all over the UK and we really appreciated everyone that shared our special day."
For their honeymoon Rachel and Chris travelled to Dubai for 4 days, followed by Mauritius for 7 nights. Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your wedding with us - such a gorgeous day!
