At ease with their engagement and relationship James and Becca were in no huge rush to marry once there was a ring on Becca's finger. Instead they enjoyed a long engagement, with minimal stress and maximum enjoyment. After a few years the real wedding date came along and James and Becca celebrated with a beautiful Blackthorpe barn wedding, captured with ease by Emily Tyler Photography.

Becca and James originally met in Ipswich where both their parents live. They got together and 6 months later James moved to Scotland for work. Long distance ensued, then after a year Becca joined beau James in Scotland.
Six months after Becca's move to Scotland James proposed surrounded by Becca's family. In no rush Becca and James remained engaged for a couple of years before marrying in a chilled wedding ceremony at Blackthorpe Barn.
When Becca and James first visited their barn wedding venue, the barn was still in use - a factor which totally won them over. Becca remembers..."It was so rustic when we first went to see it, as it was a working barn at the time, and that is exactly what we wanted, a blank canvas. Mel and Vicky who run the weddings were great, and they don’t sell packages, so you can make your wedding exactly how you want it to be."
With free reign Becca and James had the exact wedding they wanted - laid back, with simple personal details - including a whiskey barrel alternative guest book and rustic cheese cake.
After their meal and wedding speeches Becca and James had James Nunn perform - "he was so brilliant, got everyone on the dance floor, and even met up with my Dad before the wedding so he could sing a couple of songs with him."
Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your wedding with us all! A big thank you also goes to Emily Tyler Photography, to see more from Emily Tyler Photography visit www.emilytylerphotography.com
