There's nothing we love more at One Fab Day, than creativity. When a group of very talented people come together to create something different, it's so inspiring. When most people put together the words 'vintage' and 'wedding' they come up with a soft old Hollywood look, antique silver, white satin and lots of roses. But that's not what today's vintage-inspired shoot is all about...
The brainchild of Felicity from Buds and Berries, who roped in some of the most talented and creative wedding professionals around, to produce a simply brilliant shoot affectionately called "The Modfather". Taking inspiration from the 70s Mods this is a brilliant alternative to the "traditional vintage" we are so used to seeing.
Today we're getting you going with the fabulous "Sweet Rider" film shot by wedding cinematographer Rodolphe from Best Day Productions, and tomorrow we'll be featuring the images from the shoot by Shane O'Neill from Aspect Photography - so never say we don't spoil you!

So how did this amazing piece of work come together? Felicity from Buds & Berries explained "The idea germinated (an appropriate word coming from a florist) when I was designing a bouquet for a bride in the States who wanted old-school but not necessarily vintage. Being a 70s kid I went back through my old diaries for some inspiration and a few beacons shone .... the Mod era, the Who, Parka jackets, Vespa motorcycles, the hard faced attitudes of teens...
Finding a central inspiration for the shoot wasn't hard - the iconic movie Quadrophenia, a set and the lead characters Jimmy and Steph...
"The shoot soon gathered momentum with lots of really cool wedding suppliers clicking with the mood straight away and were more than happy to jump on board. Hence I was so lucky to work with some seriously talented people on this project. Ultimately in 2.47 mins, Rodolphe from Best Day got inside my head and put it down on film.... it is literally a stunning piece of footage."
Couldn't agree more with Felicity, now just wait til you see Shane O'Neill's amazing pictures tomorrow...
