Tucked into the hillside of Ballyhale in Co. Kilkenny, you'll find Mountain View, a beautiful venue with on-site glamping and glorious views. This exclusive, private venue boasts warm hospitality and a rustic barn shed with authentic farm-chic vibes.

The impressive Eco Barn at Hotel Doolin is the perfect addition to the coastal hotel loved by so many couples! 11. Borris House

The barn-style space at Borris House is not actually a barn at all, but a part of the 18th century manor that was never finished, and as such, retains that farmyard vibe with high-beamed ceilings, natural stone walls and French doors. For weekday weddings of 60 to 140 people, there's the Green Barn at Burtown House in Athy, which functions as a chic restaurant at weekends. For couples looking for the magic of a 15th Century castle and the charm of a converted barn in one place, there's Durhamstown Castle in Bohermeen, Co. Meath. Built in 1625 on the site of a former 14th century stronghold and abbey, Huntington Castle is a seriously luxurious wedding venue but its barn reception space, with its exposed beams and homey vibe, contrasts nicely with the castle's opulent interiors. A favourite among couples looking for a truly alternative wedding day, Mount Druid boasts a chapel, a summer house, and glamping as well as their converted barn, which is filled with antique furniture and seats up to 180 people. Offering luxury accommodation with private and exclusive hire, Sandbrook House is a gorgeous country house situated on 25 acres of rolling Carlow fields. The barn-style reception venue is surrounded by lush green gardens, making for a really inviting space, especially on a summer's day.

18. The Old Deanery

With small cottages, pretty gardens and quaint farmyard interiors, The Old Deanery, is a really unique spot for a small and intimate wedding - the barn caters for groups of up to 27 people. Its stonewashed walls and dark wooden beams are perfect for couples who want to put their own stamp on their reception venue. 19. O'Mahony's of Watergrasshill

As a wedding venue, O'Mahony's of Watergrasshill is pretty versatile, comprising Granny's Garden, the Bar, The Courtyard and a beautifully-renovated barn space called The Long Room. A wedding hosted between the Bar and the Long Room can welcome up to 140 guests, and with the addition of a marquee on site, that number rises to 220. For a buffet-style wedding meal, O'Mahony's can cater for up to 250 guests.

A gorgeous spot for a rustic and informal celebration, Segrave House and Barns in the Louth countryside has an epic, American-style barn at its centre. Tucked away in beside a beloved pub in the friendly, rural village of Kilfenora is a converted coach house that has been used for step dancing and family parties since the 1990. With room for up to 120 guests, Vaughan's Barn is large enough to be versatile but still has the same cosy atmosphere as the pub and restaurant next door.

For couples looking for a barn venue that's truly a blank canvas, Fitz Of Inch is nestled amongst acres of lush green fields by the River Stradbally. This serene countryside location boasts two unique barn settings, The Sir. Hurt Barn and The Dunamase Barn and can accommodate up to 50 guests in the intimate setting. Kate and Calvin chose it as their wedding venue for all of those reasons and more and their resulting wedding day was truly something.

33. The Byre, Co. Down

A family-run Country House and barn venue, The Byre in Co. Down is just getting started in the wedding game, having hosted a handful of rustic and relaxed celebrations including owners son Michael's gorgeous wedding which we featured last year here. The 80-year old Dutch barn has been lovingly restored and can host both ceremonies and receptions within it's walls.
