As you know, we don't pick favourites around here! Every single real wedding we feature has a unique couple and a special story behind it and over the last ten years, One Fab Day has featured hundreds of exceptional real weddings. Some we chose because they exuded killer style or clever ideas, others, because they featured a couple simply doing things their own way. So today, we're throwing it back, with ten weddings from the last ten years, the ones that stood out at the time, and are still serving us inspiration all these years later!
2010: Trish & Niall's Alternative Donegal Wedding
One of the earliest real weddings we featured on One Fab Day was Niall and Trish's creative Donegal wedding. This cool pair poured their unique sense of style and DIY talents into their day, and the results were so special - particularly at a time when weddings were still pretty traditional affairs! Trish wore a gorgeous grey dress she and her mum made together, Niall's love of jazz came through in the drinks reception entertainment, and the couple's guestbook featured a typewriter and ink stamps. Óstán Gweedore played backdrop to the day, and the couple's friends, Stephen and Julie captured all the love. See the day in full, here.
2011: Aiden & Will's Bellinter House Bash
Aiden & Will's wedding at Bellinter House will always be a special one of for us; it was the first ever same sex wedding we featured on the site. Marking their Civil Partnership at the time, the grooms said their vows under a beautiful big beech tree, sealing their ceremony with a sand pouring. An intimate and relaxed celebration, with personal touches and hilarious speeches, the day was captured by Fiona Brophy. Check out their day in full, here.

2012: Christine & Xander's Colourful Tipi Wedding
Pompoms, bunting, s'mores and stationery; if we had just one word to sum up Christine & Xander's wedding, it would be, colourful! This dynamic duo (wedding photographers themselves, aka Navyblur) had a relaxed BBQ wedding in Ballymena and it looks like it was barrels of craic. Jeff Newsom Photography documented their joyful tipi bash, this one is worth checking out in full because it's positively laden with cool ideas!

2013: Ana & Ricky's Fiesta at Liss Ard Estate
Ana & Ricky married with a marquee wedding at Liss Ard Estate in a kaleidoscope of colour and a feast for the senses. Vibrant, artistic, and just plain cool, the pair took their cue from the bride's Columbian heritage, with a Latin-inspired fiesta. The Mexican Day of the Dead and decorative religious imagery served as a guide for the styling and decor, and everything, from the ceremony, to the reception, to the couple's own style, leaned into the theme. Magda Lukas Photography captured it all - make sure you pay this feature a visit because it's filled with bright and beautiful ideas!

2014: Elodie & Jon's Stylish Loft Wedding
Casual glamour was the order of the day for Elodie & Jon's cool London wedding at Loft Studios. Adding their own stamp across their day, their individual style, simple industrial backdrop, loose florals and hanging greenery may look effortless and modern now, but five years ago, this pair were quite the trendsetters! We loved how laid back and authentic their day was, and the photos by Say Cheers Photography were pretty gorgeous too! Check out their wedding in fu, here.

2015: Geetha & Brian's Romantic Longueville House Wedding
Geetha & Brian's wedding is one of those celebrations that was packed with heart but is also beyond beautiful to look at! Photographed by Into the Light, the day was laced with thoughtful ideas and sentimental touches, all of which created a celebration that brought friends and family together, and marked the milestones in the couple's relationship. Following an outdoor ceremony, the beautiful conservatory in Longueville House was the backdrop for their reception, both of which are filled with inspiration we'll be borrowing for years to come!

2016: Cat & Garry's Glamorous Gatsby Wedding in Tankardstown
Great Gatsby-inspired weddings have been an enduring trend over the last ten years, but few have pulled it off with quite as much polish and sophistication as Cat and Garry. The bride (talented baker The Cake Cuppery) pulled out all the stops with her impossibly glamorous red carpet-worthy look, and took it to the next level with perhaps the most extravagant cake table we've ever seen. Documented by Elisha Clarke Photography, you've simply got to check out their stunning Tankardstown House wedding in full, here.

2017: Karen & Michael's Vintage Dream at Virginia Park
Full disclosure, we're a bit biased about this one (Karen is a long-standing part of the One Fab Day team!) but her and Michael's vintage-inspired wedding at Virginia Park Lodge was beyond beautiful. From the style and the florals, to the stationery and the crockery (and even the cars!), the meticulous planning and attention to detail was phenomenal. Such a detail-packed bash we had to split it in two, make sure you pore over both Part One and Part Two of their story and their romantic wedding photos by The Lous.

2018: Shauna & Barry's Epic Ashford Castle Wedding
It's safe to say, everyone in the One Fab Day office fell hard for Shauna, Barry and their beautiful wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. Unparalleled style (the Marchesa wedding dress still makes us swoon!), exquisite florals, precision styling, and lots of love, this wedding was brimming with steal-worthy details. Photographed by Craig and Eva Sanders, we said it at the time, and we'll say it again, put the kettle on for this one, it's worth lingering over - get Part One and Part Two.

2019: Úna & Daryl's Achingly Cool Mount Druid Wedding
We featured Úna & Daryl's super stylish wedding at Mount Druid back in January and we still haven't quite recovered! Úna's gorgeous two piece and headband kicked off a year of real brides with killer accessory game, and Daryl's olive green suit with pink accessories has likely inspired lots of grooms to rock something a little different too. These two planned one very fun party, with a never-ending cake table and budget-friendly décor, and thankfully, Wedding Storytellers captured the lot for us to swoon over.
